Johnson County is celebrating America’s 250th birthday in a way that invites everyone to get out, explore, and be part of the story. Our Johnson County America 250 Passport is a fun and easy way to experience local events, collect stamps, discover new places, and celebrate the history, heritage, music, festivals, and community traditions that make this corner of Tennessee so special.
Whether you live here, visit often, or are discovering Johnson County for the first time, the passport is your guide to exploring America 250 events across the county.
How the Passport Works
Pick up your Johnson County America 250 Passport and bring it with you to participating America 250 events and locations. Each participating stop has its own unique stamp, giving you a keepsake record of the places you visited and the events you enjoyed.
There is no need to complete it all at once. Take your time, explore the county, and enjoy each stop along the way. Every stamp tells part of Johnson County’s America 250 story.
Where to Pick Up a Passport
Passports are available during regular business hours at the following Johnson County locations:
Johnson County Center for the Arts
Doe Mountain Recreation Area
Museum of Butler, TN
Shady Valley Country Store
(Note: You will need Adobe Acrobat to open and download the flyer. Download Adobe Reader.)
Look for the Passport Stamp Station
At participating events, look for the Passport Stamp Station. In most cases, the stamp station will be located at the main information table.
Bring your passport with you and get it stamped while you are there. Each participating location and designated America 250 event has its own unique stamp, so every stop adds something new to your passport.
America 250 Commemorative Souvenir
When you pick up your passport and receive your stamp, you may also receive an America 250 commemorative souvenir, while supplies last.
Souvenirs are limited to one per person.
